Mark Brown
River Constructor/Operator
Mark was born in the Pacific Northwest, but has spent most of his life rooted in Fort Collins, Colorado. After attending the University of Northern Colorado, he dedicated his career to working with family-owned and locally operated businesses—spaces where creativity and community thrive. A consistent thread throughout Mark’s life has been his passion for sustainability and innovative thinking.
He is a proud graduate of the Sustainable Leadership Program, a rigorous, year-long initiative focused on integrating sustainable practices into business. Mark also co-founded Pig Farm Ink, a grassroots organization that builds community through fly fishing—a lifelong passion of his.
That love for rivers, the outdoors, and meaningful connection eventually led him to join FlyWater in the fall of 2025. When he's not on the water, Mark can be found tending to his extensive cactus collection, gardening, or exploring the American West. He lives in Fort Collins with his girlfriend, their many animals, and stays connected to his musically gifted son, Sam.
